| Midtown Master Plan
“The Midtown Master Plan transforms an entire sector of the city and shall serve as the long-term blueprint to guide its further development”
-Harrisburg Mayor Stephen R. Reed
“Our effort focused upon creating a vibrant mixed-use community and center for education and technology that serves as a resource for, and improves the quality of life for the entire Midtown-Uptown neighborhoods”
-John Tierney, GreenWorks Development, LLC.
In conjunction with GreenWorks Development's work on the HACC Midtown Center, the firm undertook a major envisioning process for the future of the Midtown neighborhood where the Center is located. Conducted by the nationally-recognized Hillier Group, P&A’s Midtown Master Plan provides a long-term growth strategy plan for the roughly 12-square block area bounded by Reily, Green, N. 6th and Harris Streets.
The plan calls for the future development of nearly one million square feet of mixed-use space in the area, focusing upon academic, commercial, retail and residential development applications. Structured parking, streetscape improvements and more are also planned in future years.
The initial stages of the Master Plan are now being addressed by GreenWorks Development, LLC with the opening of the new HACC Midtown Center, and the construction of the new Campus Square Building.
